Okay fun fact: one of my biggest guilty pleasures is a classic Italian sub sandwich. I truly think there is nothing better! Although I wish it was something I could fit into my daily diet…that just isn’t the case with my health goals, haha! *but* I found a close second to satisfy that craving…this Chopped Italian Sub Salad!
It’s all the Italian sub flavors we know and love, chopped to perfection so you get all of those yummy flavors in every bite. Honestly, it’s so good…I don’t even miss or think about the bread, haha! I love to eat this with a side of Siete Salt & Vinegar chips – it’s truly the best combo. This may just become your new favorite lunch!

Chopped Italian Sub Salad
Ingredients
SALAD INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups romaine lettuce
- 1 cup tomato
- ⅓ cup red onion
- ½ cup salami
- ½ cup turkey deli meat
- ½ cup pepperoni deli meat
- ⅓ cup banana pepper
SAUCE INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup Primal Kitchen mayo
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp banana pepper juice
- lemon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Separately, micro chop all salad ingredients and add to a large bowl.
- Add all dressing ingredients into a medium bowl and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
- Pour dressing overtop chopped salad and toss to coat evenly.
- Season salad with extra oregano, salt and pepper.
