Homemade Protein Frappuccino

minutesA caffeine boost and a way to get your protein in? Yes, please! Sometimes in the summer, I just don’t crave *hot* coffee – so one of my favorite ways to get coffee & protein in, is to throw it all in a protein shake! It’s cool, refreshing & so delicious. It’s what I like to call my homemade “frappucccino” – sounds fancy right?! Feel free to add frozen spinach & collagen for extra health perks!
Ingredients
1 cup brewed coffee
1 banana
1 scoop protein powder (I love BPN’s vanilla, chocolate or cinnamon roll for this recipe!)
1 handful ice cubes
4 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 TB cacao powder (optional)
2 TB cacao nibs
Directions
- Add all ingredients (besides cacao nibs) into blender & blend on a medium speed until smooth. Garnish with cacao nibs & enjoy immediately!
