Granola is one of my favorite snacks or toppings to yogurt, oatmeal, smoothie bowls, etc. – but the truth is, a lot of store bought granolas are filled with processed sugars, artificial sweeteners & seed oils. It may seem like a “health food” – but in a lot of cases, there’s nothing healthy about it! Lucky for you, granola is a super easy food to make at home, and you can get creative with it depending on your taste preferences. You just need a few basic ingredients and an oven, and you can make the most delicious homemade granola without all of the bad stuff. This granola is sweet and salty and is truly addicting! I hope you love it!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups oats

  • 1/3 cup almonds (lightly crushed)

  • 1/3 cup pecans (lightly crushed)

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

  • sea salt (to taste)

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium to large bowl, add in oats, crushed nuts, sea salt, honey, coconut flakes and coconut oil to a bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Bake on the middle rack of the oven for about 20 minutes. Halfway through, move granola around so it can cook evenly.
  • Let cool completely and then break apart. Store in airtight container.
