Bacon Wrapped Smokies

minutesThis has been my go-to appetizer recipe for years, and it never fails me! This savory-but-sweet bite-sized combination can’t be beat – which is why they are always gone in seconds!
Ingredients
1 package little sausage smokies
1 pacakage bacon (not thick-cut)
1 cup brown sugar or light brown sugar
Directions
- Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cut each strip of bacon into thirds.
- Tightly wrap a strip of bacon around one sausage. Place into baking dish seam down. Repeat until dish is filled – pack sausages tightly.
- Once all smokies are in the dish, distribute brown sugar evenly across the top of sausages. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 1 hour.
- Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until bacon is golden brown and fully cooked, and sugar is caramelized.
