For the last year or so, I have been swapping one of my daily meals with a green protein smoothie, and y’all – I am hooked! The benefits have been amazing, and it’s a part of my daily routine that I look forward to and truly love. Most days, I’ll have my green smoothie for breakfast to hit the ground running with a healthy start, or sometimes I’ll opt to have it for lunch. Either way, it’s become a part of my daily health & wellness routine that I look forward to and love. Here are some of the reasons why I love it so much, and you will too!

The Convenience Factor

If you’re like me…mornings tend to get a little crazy, especially if I “accidentally” hit snooze for an extra few minutes. The convenience factor that comes along with making a smoothie for breakfast has been game changing! No more dishes, silverware, and mess made from a big, hearty breakfast that I used to cook. I love the individual cup adapter that goes with my blender – I literally. make the smoothie in the cup that I drink it in, blend it up, detach it – and I’m on my way. It gives me a few minutes back in my morning and it really goes a long way.

The Health Benefits

This is the best part, duh! I’m not a huge vegetable lover – but I know that it’s super important to get those micronutrients into my daily diet, which is why I love starting my day with this smoothie. Spinach is hands down, the best leafy green to add into your shakes and smoothies. Why? Because you don’t even know it’s in there! It blends well & I swear you can’t taste it. Besides getting in my greens, I also take the opportunity to shove as much “health” as I can into the blender. It has helped me hit my fiber, micronutrient & macronutrient goals for the day, all in one big cup. It’s the best and seriously leaves me feeling so energized.

Keeps Me Full + Debloats

I used to be a die-hard oatmeal girl when it came to breakfast. But oatmeal is so calorie dense, I never really felt full because I couldn’t eat a ton of it. It left me feeling lethargic, bloated & uncomfortable. Ever since I’ve been having a smoothie for breakfast, I feel full – satisfied, energized, and there are absolutley no signs of bloating. It fuels me for a great, energized day ahead.

Keeps Me On Track

I’ve found that with one green smoothie a day, I stay at my “happy”, healthy weight much easier. Not only does it motivate me to make healthy choices all day long, it gives me that wiggle room to indulge in the foods I love when I want them – because I know I’m gave my body tons of nutrients earlier that day. It’s a great habit to fall back on during the holidays, vacations, and other times of indulging that we all have!

Vitamix Blender // Hands down the best blender on the market! (hence the price) – but, if you use daily like I do…it’s absolutely worth it. It can blend anything, I’m serious. It’s also great for making soups + sauces.
