You know those, “What’s in my Purse” or “What’s in my Gym Bag” blog posts & videos? Well…let’s make “What’s in my Kitchen Cabinets” a normal thing, right?! I get a lot of messages from you gals & especially brides-to-be that are trying to load up their registry with questions about which plates, glasses, bowls, serve ware, etc. are the best! So I thought today would be a great day to give you a look into our cabinets and at some of the staple plates, bowls, etc. we use every single day.
You’ll see a variety – things from Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel….and then serving and dinner bowls from Target and mugs from Amazon. (which are actually all of the places we registered!) In my opinion, there are certain things that are worth the splurge (wine glasses, glass serving bowls, glasses) – and some that just aren’t worth it. I mean, you use bowls and plates every single day…they get dropped, scratched, and worn out and often need replacing – so that’s when I like to stock up Target on a more affordable, replaceable option!
As you can see, I love neutrals & white when it comes to serve ware – just because I don’t like to take away from the presentation or color that the food brings to the plate! I let the food be the star of the show. I’ve also found over the years that white plates are the most versatile when it comes to tablescapes for the holidays. You can always make a white plate work for any occasion!
