A two-year engagement, a global pandemic & three postponements later….WE ARE FINALLY MARRIED! I still can’t believe it y’all! Every twist, turn, challenge & frustrating moment was all made worth it, on October 17th, 2020 – the day I got to marry the love of my life & finally become Stefany Bare! It’s true what they say – it’s the best day of your entire life…and it goes by too fast for words. Thank goodness for photos & video – which was our number one priority as far as investments go…because we wanted to be able to relive every single moment!

Being a bride & planning a wedding has its challenges, but being a COVID bride brought on a whole new layer of challenges & frustrations – but I truly believe that God gave Nick & I this challenge because we could handle it. I truly believe that October 17th was the day God always planned for Nick & I. (Also…Michigan fall = nothing better!) So if you are reading this as a COVID bride, or really any bride that’s in the thick of planning right now – just know, that it will ALL be worth it, because at the end of the day…you are marrying the love of your life! That’s the most important part.

We officially have all of our photos + video back – which means it is time for a FULL recap! This blog post will highlight every little detail of our wedding, and everything that is linkable, is linked, to help all of my fellow brides out during the planning process. I hope y’all enjoy reliving this day as much as I do. Love & marriage is truly the biggest blessing in life. Enjoy! xo

The Venue

THE VENUE: Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfield, Michigan
Maybe now that y’all have seen the photos – you understand why through all of the postponements & changes due to to COVID, there wasn’t a single chance that I was going to budge and change venues. It’s a venue near my hometown that has been on my heart forever – for an obvious reason, it’s a fairytale DREAM! I have truly never seen another venue like it. It’s a botanical garden venue that is open year-round for events. Not only is the venue covered inch by inch with real, gorgeous plants & gardens – its glass walls & ceiling provide the most unreal views of the stars on clear nights and beautiful, natural light during the day. Basically, it’s a photographer’s & videographer’s DREAM!

Yes, the venue itself was perfection…but the team was on a whole other level. I like to describe Planterra as an “all-inclusive” wedding venue. They have a wedding coordination & planning staff in-house, and honestly…pretty much everything is in-house. They make you feel like royalty. They take care of both the reception & ceremony space and setup, floral, food, drinks, and tablescape design. All I pretty much had to do was point, pick & say yes to things I liked and they did EVERYTHING else. It was truly an out-of-state bride’s dream – it made the entire process very easy and decisive, especially being thousands of miles away.

So that means everything from the candlesticks, to the greenery on the backs of chairs, to the centerpieces, to the lanterns, to the lights & flatware….was all Planterra. I can’t take credit for any of that! I just chose my favorites and they brought my vision to life. The only things I had to purchase separately & bring were the smaller, personalized pieces of decor…which was very minimal & is what we’ll get into next!
